Frying Pan Spring Baptist Meeting House cemetery dates back to the early 1800s. Grave markers include obelisks, monument markers and field stones for approximately 40 to 50 church members. In April 2011, members of the Fairfax County Cemetery Preservation Association and a Frying Pan Park staff member cleaned the markers. By cleaning off the dirt and algae, not only were the markers made more legible, but new discoveries were made. A lovely dove was found gracing the top of an obelisk. Soft brushes, distilled water, and woman/manpower were used to carefully clean the markers. The workers noted that there is a need to upright some of the markers in the future.
