In a project planned and led by an Eagle Scout candidate, Boy Scout Troop 1983 cleared brush, cleaned markers, and constructed a new path adjacent to the cemetery, which is located on the grounds of Fairfax City’s Civil War Interpretive Center at Historic Blenheim.

The Willcoxon family were early settlers of what today is the City of Fairfax. They were farmers and also operated a tavern across from today’s Fairfax County Courthouse. During the Civil War, the grounds and home of Albert Willcoxon were occupied by Union soldiers, who wrote and drew on the walls of the home. Their graffiti has been preserved for Interpretive Center visitors to see.
