This project was curated by Rachel Crane and Izzy Klonsky, both students of West Springfield High. Izzy is a competitive swimmer who likes learning about underrepresented historical figures, and Rachel enjoys playing video games and hopes to become an engineer. This research
opportunity was available to us through our Applied History class, which allows upperclassmen to explore what historians do to preserve history.
