On September 19, 2010, Boy Scout Troop 991 of Springfield completed the fence painting of the Ben Fairfax Cemetery and held a dedication ceremony. The Kings Park West Civic Association (KPWCA) and neighbors with guidance from the scout Alex Eggleston organized the program, the ceremony, and refreshments, which was the culmination of Alex’s Eagle Scout project. KPWCA President Tony Vellucci led the ceremony in which Braddock Supervisor John Cook presented a letter of appreciation to Alex and Vellucci presented FCCPA a $300 check to support future preservation efforts. Approximately 30 people were in attendance.
