This small cemetery contains nine grave markers of uniform shape and size, which could indicate they were made and placed at the same time. The local home owners fenced the cemetery. Earlier surveys report that the head stones were realigned and replaced out of their original order.Three early Virginian families are represented in the cemetery: Cross, Wrenn and Fitzhugh. The sign in the cemetery states:” The Benjamin Cross ( 1782-1863) family bought the land south of the Turnpike from Carter [ Robert “King” Carter] and for several generations the Cross family, and their heirs the Wrenns and Fitzhughs, operated a grain and tobacco farm along the Great Cedar Rock Run, the nearby stream known more simply as Rocky Run.” The sign adds that the cemetery was located next to what was once the plantation’s vegetable garden. The cemetery is well maintained by the local Home Owner’s Association. (FCCPA Survey October 2009)
