In 1804, David Stuart purchased Ossian Hall and 831 acres.  He and his wife Eleanor Calvert Custis Stuart raised their children at Ossian Hall.  Eleanor was the widow of John Parke Custis, Martha Washington’s son. The cemetery has a stand of the trees in the middle of a grassy area.  Neighbors maintain the grassy area.  Surveyors did not see any clear indications of burials or grave stones.
