BSA troop 991 of Springfield cleaned and made repairs at the Benjamin F. Fairfax family cemetery in May 2010. The future Eagle Scout who led the project raised money to hire a fence company which replaced the broken fence. In the future, the scouts will return to paint the fence with a clear sealant. The markers were cleaned and the old steps were replaced. A hand rail was constructed and added because of the steep stairway. The community was much interested in the project and appreciated the scouts’ hard work.
